I was in Cheshire for an exam and the hotel gave me a relaxed environment to prepare for this important time.

My friend and I only stayed one night. The hotel staff on reception were very efficient and friendly. The rooms were fantastic. We had a meal, with the Scout Assocation, in the evening. The meal was good.

  • 9.2
    Superb

We enjoyed the excellent food and the staff we were in contact with around the hotel were very pleasant and helpful.

There is nowhere to answer in question 3 the fact that we were travelling as mother and daughter. ( This is not a complaint, just an observation ).

    Very good

Room was large and well decorated, the bed was comfy and the hotel quiet

Some other guests were noisy when going to their rooms late at night

  • 8.2
    Fabulous

The spa facilities were accessible and we were encouraged to use them

The room was a long way from the reception and the corridors are difficult to navigate , signage could be improved.

    Very good

I use hotels every day of the week and found Cranage to be less than memorable.

The rooms are merely travelodge, no biscuits available, tea and coffee in the room insufficient. The hotel in my mind has just "got away with it" This hotel is for profit not for provision of good service...which is always followed by profit.

  • 6.2
    Good

    pool & sauna

100% geared towards parties, wedding & conferences. Individual families are a low priority for this hotel, that is reflected in the service you will receive if there is an event there.

    Fabulous

Excellent value for money. Spa facilities Excellent. Food good. Lounge area very comfortable.

Room needed decorating. Bar area was cold. Air conditioning blowing a gale, in the pool and bar. Kids running riot all over the bar area.

  • 4.6
    Guest rating

Possibly a good conference centre, but lacking in the facilities of a good hotel. Naive in the extreme to provide an identity card advertising rates less than were being paid. Galling to find that other guests were paying even less.

    The lack of hotel facilities.

    Fabulous

We stayed overnight and attended a 60th b irthday party. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful and the breakfast was excellentThank you

  • 7.4
    Very good

Relaxed atmosphere with a very late bar and good facilities

We were at the hotel for a two night stay. The room was not cleaned or serviced whilst we were there.

  • 7.0
    Very good

    Staff friendly

A huge Travelodge type new build accommodation attached to an old Manor House, a week day conference hotel for businessmen and unless you're there for one I would be wary of staying there on a week day. Accomodation = Travel Lodge type rooms, okay but nothing special. Buffet breakfast was mediocre, went elsewhere for evening meals.

  • 7.4
    Very good

There is some distance between reception and the rooms and car parking
